WHO WE FUND

Registered charity 1188873

As an independent organisation we receive no funding from Government and rely on the generosity of the public to provide funds that we can allocate to worthy cases.

The foundation is non-political and non-religious. It will not engage in politically motivated cases nor advocate for changes in law that are political in nature.

The trustees will also take into account the following guidelines when deciding on whether to allocate funds.

  1. The issue must be related to a UK citizen, based in the UK where the alleged “wrong doing” also occurred in the UK. There are other charities that fight for citizen rights outside the UK.

  2. Priority will be given to cases that are of Public Interest, e.g. where a ruling by court (e.g. by Judicial Review) clarifies the Law so that other UK citizens are similarly protected.

  3. Priority will also be given to vulnerable UK citizens such as children and those with disabilities.

  4. Citizens will only be eligible for support where they can demonstrate that without external support, they would otherwise not be able to enforce their rights.

  5. Access to funding will normally only be considered where there are no other charitable organisations available to provide support. E.g. there are various charities that are focused on rights of citizens in jeopardy outside the UK, facing religious discrimination and in terms of Severe Human Rights abuses.
